The scope of Configuration Management may not, for example, extend to Customer information (other than on an 'as informed' basis) and the scope of a Change Management procedure may not apply to 'Urgent Changes'. Also a key concept in outsourcing, defining which activities are covered by the base contract and which are separately chargeable.
