Here I go reading betwen the lines again...
Eddie went trolling and (as intended) caught some heat. What did Eddie really say, though?
Look past the troll bait and here's what I read: "As evidenced by my selection to participate in our 6S program, I have value to my company. Having spent some time in a teamwork environment, I recognize the value of cross functional teams and their ability to quickly get to the root of a problem/improvement issue. When I asked my boss to tick off some of the proposed areas in which we could focus the efforts of our program, I heard countless issues that do not require the large up-front expense of an entire new program/culture, but rather, could be addressed prior to start up and possibly influence the decision to instill a new culture. As a committed employee, I offered my opinion that we already have the talent and resources to address each of these issues. Rather than an honest effort to save my company money, my comments were interpreted in a negative light by my boss. I am hoping against hope that he does not want to leave these projects unsolved for the sole purpose of cherry picking them so he can show 6S success. Such a thing would seem quite wasteful. Are there any suggestions on how I can change the perception of my comments and/or find out for sure if my boss is cherry picking (I think such an attitude would set us on a road to failure)?"
