Stable Process

Any process which performs in a predictable manner over a period of time i.e with known variances can be considered stable. However, a stable process does not necessarily mean that it is the best performing or ideal process. If the process can be improved to an extent that only "natural variability" remain, then it could be considered as the ideal process. This is my understanding and it may not be very correct.
