    Is anyone out there familiar with a Fan Chart?  We are a low volume (3-4 machines per day) production company and are currently using these charts to collect data for failure analysis.

    Are we wasting our time collecting data with these charts since it seems we would need to collect data for about a year to see any meaningful trends?
