Jeffrey Mitchell is president of Proteus International, a consulting firm specializing in executive coaching, strategic visioning, group facilitation, and custom education products. Mr. Mitchell previously served as president of two corporate training organizations, Forman/Greene and Ridge Associates.
Jeff designs learning experiences, not just as 'training,' but also as a way to solve business problems.
His solutions are often counter-intuitive. He has sparked telemarketers to sell more by learning to listen and helped time-pressed executives invest their time more strategically with 'not-to-do' lists. When a client's trainers struggled with new distance education technology, he enabled them to integrate the new tools by teaching them how to learn. Jeff has developed learning experiences to help people lead, manage, coach, sell, decide and present, enhancing everything from back-office efficiency to the customer experience.
Because of his expertise in course design, Mr. Mitchell is also frequently asked to develop training in areas in which he is a novice, such as wireless phone service, annuities, and, recently, six sigma quality methods.
Mr. Mitchell has worked with a wide variety of organizations, including American Express, Ameritech, Chase Manhattan, Eastman Kodak, Gap, General Electric, Goodyear, MCI, Nike, and Oracle.
