• Ampcontrol Opens New Global Manufacturing Facility in Victoria

  July 5, 2012: Electrical engineering and manufacturing company Ampcontrol has opened a new ‘lean’ manufacturing facility in Victoria.

• First Alpina Workers Will Start July 16

  July 4, 2012: Alpina has hired 25 workers who will start July 16, about two months before the plant is expected to be in production. They will complete a food processing “boot camp” at Genesee Community College. Staff from the Rochester Institute of Technology will teach “lean manufacturing skills,” said Roger Parkhurst, director of operations for Alpina USA.
