Managing COPQ by Analyzing and Optimizing Thresholds
One area that has a significant effect on COPQ is often overlooked in continuous improvement projects: the thresholds used to determine whether a product is at an acceptable quality level. Threshold investigations should be an integral part of any continuous improvement program. By optimizing thresholds, Belts can yield incredibly significant and immediate results because thresholds directly affect scrap and lost sales.

iSixSigma Back Online Again iSixSigma.com is back online!
It has taken more than a month to set straight what clever and malicious hackers did. Our e-media team, along with a high-profile security consultant and a band of programmers, diligently worked to resolve the multitude of problems injected into our websites. All the time and effort moving the sites to new servers, repairing and cleaning thousands of lines of code and fully testing the sites has paid off. Our websites are now safe and reliable.
During the time the website was down, we talked to a lot of site users. Some were disappointed, some were sympathetic, but nearly everyone asked the question: Can you tell us more about what happened and explain what is taking you so long to get back online?

Assessing a Lean Team
Two months into a new job as the Six Sigma Black Belt, I have been asked to lead our Lean implementation team. As a first time manager, I am struggling with developing good, objective goals to review my team on when quarterly/annual performance reviews come around. Our Lean journey is in its infancy, but I want to start to develop more quantifiable goals. Any suggestions or references I should consider?

Staying in the Loop
I have taken a new position where I'm responsible for project management on Six Sigma methodology. The department doesn't truly understand either methodology, thus as the PM, I'm continually left out of the loop. Decisions, conversations are made with out me. I'm informed essentially on a 'need to know' basis. These projects were in flight when I joined, thus any incorporation of tools/methodology that is lacking is met with 'you're holding us up, we don't need it.' Has anyone faced this issue before and if so, how have you addressed/fixed it?
