Continuous or Discrete Data?
If we count the number of processed item failures and express them as a percentage of the total items processed, can we consider this to continuous data - even though the underlying data is discrete/count data?

Defining Work in Progress
To me, cycle time is the time taken from a customer making an order to us delivering the product, and work in progress is the current number of orders taken and not delivered.
"Do you agree these are correct definitions? Talking to many Lean people they see that the WIP is only the pieces you're working on and not those queued up to start work on. Isn't this just fudging the figures and not showing the process as the customer feels it?
