iSixSigma's Inaugural Hall of Fame Inductee: Bill Smith
The late Bill Smith, widely regarded as the 'Father of Six Sigma,' was inducted into iSixSigma's Six Sigma Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the iSixSigma Live! Summit & Awards in Miami this past January.
The Six Sigma Hall of Fame recognizes people who have made significant and lasting contributions in the Lean Six Sigma industry. These individuals have consistently fueled corporate growth and shareholder value through the use of Lean Six Sigma during their career. They have commanded the respect and admiration of their peers for their extraordinary service to the industry. iSixSigma is now taking nominations for next year's honoree; they may be sent to sshof@isixsigma.com.

Identifying Mystery Tool
There is a Six Sigma tool that I'd like to use in an upcoming meeting but can't remember the name of it or how it works exactly. All I know is that it asks questions like 'where is it?' and 'where is it not.' Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find more info on how to use it?

I am the director of Six Sigma at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento. I am looking to connect with other Six Sigma Black Belts or Master Black Belts to discus what is working, not working in industries other than hospitality.

Environmental Application
I would like to take the Six Sigma Green Belt Training at my place of employment. While I am forward thinking in why I would like to take the training, my boss is pushing back on the 3-day training, not believing it will be applicable to my current position.
"I am an environmental professional who regularly reads and summarizes laws and regulations. I also run greenhouse gas emission calculations for our entire business and I know these numbers could improve in quality. Is Six Sigma something I could currently use in my position, or is this really something more suited for operations and quality control?

Calculating Scrap Percentage
I have a product that includes six internal processes. I want to know what the scrap is but this is my challenge: Process A - 500 parts are loaded, 50 are scrapped = 450 for next process. Process B - 450 parts are loaded, plus 35 of the day before = 485 loaded, 80 are scrapped = 405 for next process.
"This similar situation happens in the consecutive processes. The last one is inspection and packing. How would you calculate total produced and scrap percentage?
