Designing New Processes
I am looking to find reference materials that are applicable to process design as opposed to product design. A lot of DFSS books/online material concentrate on product design. Are there any major differences in the toolset when designing a new process rather than product? Any information would be much appreciated.

Selecting a Hypothesis Test
I have two groups of sample data which are very skewed. More than 90% of the data = 0. The sample size is about 1,100 and 900. Hence, if I try to normalize the data by removing the zeros, I would be left with a 100-plus sample which still does not resolve the issue of skewed data. It is not right to remove the zeros since the smaller sample size does not give the right representation, as the zeros are true values and not null.
"What would be the correct hypothesis test for these two groups of sample data? Can I use the Mann-Whitney test? Is the Mann-Whitney test applicable for discrete or continuous data? How would I know if my data is discrete or continuous?

Six Sigma in Telecommunications
I have recently moved out of automotive manufacturing and into a role with a telecommunications company. I have been doing Lean and Six Sigma in manufacturing for the last five years, but now I am researching ways to transfer my Lean and Six Sigma skills to telecommunications. Has anyone else had experience in this industry?

Understanding Software Response
I have a student copy of SPCXL and am using the test of proportions tool to test two samples. The p-value that is returned is in blue and in italics instead of the normal black. I don't have a manual and the Help section is no help. Could anyone tell me what this is conveying when it returns blue/italics responses rather than the normal black response?

Quality Aptitude Test
Has anyone developed a basic aptitude test to screen applicants for the position of quality engineer? Specifically, we are screening QE candidates for our China manufacturing facility and I am interested if anyone has developed or seen a tool like this.
