Hello,

I am currently planing a Champions Six Sigma Training. What I am looking for, and did not found yet, is a simulation tool which underlies the training with a practical example. In operations we use the catapult. But here we want to train Champions from HR, Sales, Finance, IT and other administrative areas. The catapult is here not the right example, I assume.
Does someone have experiences with an adequat simulation tool, what we can use during our training? Or does someone know a good tool?

Some help would be very helpful for me.

My experience is that traditional Champion training leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time it gives them alot of LSS vernacular and asks them to drink from the DMAIC firehose. None of which helps them help you.

Good project ideas and good project charters come from the project Champions. If you train a bunch of business leaders to create a pipeline of meaningful project charters with valid business cases (read: hard financial value) and strong strategic relevence, you have more than most programs. Focus on that.

I say the catapult is not the right method for this. What is the message you are trying to convey? Is it basic Lean Six Sigma principles? If so, then they should go through whatever basic class your company offers. If it is true champion/sponsor training, then focus on the roles and responsibilities. Tell them what the company expects of them and make sure they understand how their actions/inactions can impact the success or failure of an effort.
