Dear All,
I would like to have some advice and guidance. It would be highly appreciated if you can spare some time. Please see my process excellence background as follows:
I have 16 years market experience in one of the biggest Bank of world.
I get Green Belt programme in 2005.
Completed 6 or 7 projects as Green Belt
I completed Black Belt programme in 2007.
Completed and implemented 8 Black Belt projects.
I trained over 100 green belt.
I get online Master Black Belt course in 2009.
I worked as Six Sigma Deployment Champion.

I’m trying to be certified Master Black Belt. But I could not find any trustworthy company who can provide MBB certification without any course. Or may be the question should be this: Do I need the MBB certificate in market?
Is the short background that I mentioned above, enough for employer in international area?
Do you have some recommendation for me, in order to plan next steps?

Many thanks in advance!
Banu

Hello,
I really would not care any MBB certificate from any course. You need to work in an organization as a Master Black Belt and should actively impart training (at least 25% of your time) to new belts, guide and hand-hold them for their successful project completion, mentor black belts, get actively engaged in the organizational strategy work, occasionally actually take up strategic six sigma projects. Most of the organizations have MBBs in the senior leadership team directly reporting to the CEO.
If you are able to demonstrate these experiences and capabilities, I think that is more than a certificate.

@banu Consider what you are asking? You want someone to certify you without you doing course work. For most companies that do certification this is a business. There is no profit motive to certify you and they have no idea if everything you listed is true. If I were you I would be much more concerned about someone who who was will ing to certify you.

There is the testing option such as a reputable organization like ASQ. At least if you test out with them they actually have credibility and name recognition in the world. Even better than that they actually have people in the organization who are certified in Six Sigma and certified Master Black Belts – that would be a good question for someone who was willing to satisfy your request.

Just my opinion.

There is a difference in working in the role of Master Black Belt and being a certified MBB. The testing and certification process from a credible organization provides an employer some level of comfort as to your knowledge and understanding of the book of knowledge. Of course, past project work provides some evidence as to whether you can actually apply the knowledge and get results. I am very wary of those who call themselves MBB because it is their job title. I would prefer to see someone who has a proven track record of results as well as some demonstration of knowledge.
