I do not belive the DoD certify programs. However speaking as the Lean Six Sigma Engineer for a Prime Military Contractor an organization can create their own progam and have it approved through the DCMA rep and ARDEC. The other organizations tend to go along with the recomendations of ARDEC. After that it is all on past performance. |

Hello All, I believe it was under EO.56.10.42 that the DoD published a set of guidelines for LSS certification. The standards for certification are based on a Book of Knowledge (BoK) – adapted from agency standards across the DoD and RACE. A cross-functional team, chaired by Kirk Nicholas and Scot Bonney (the Consistency of Approach Team), built and published these standards in 2009 for OSD. OSD now chairs a DoD-level monthly steering committee of 38 agencies to maintain the LSS handbook (DoD only). The Federal Improvement Team (FIT), chaired by Scott Bonney of the Army, maintains the standards for LSS certification for the bigger Federal Sector. The FIT includes over 90 agencies and meets bi-weekly. The FIT is currently working with their Partner base to roll-out an open-source LSS certification platform for all GOVie employees and contractors. I was part of the 2009 OSD development team and still have all the documentation. I will post the summary info later in the week when I’m back in the office. |

Hello, Martin. The OBT program is for the Army only. Their program and certification process are slightly different from that of OSD-driven DoD program. Early DoD LSS deployment directives: |

God do I have blinders on. Most of the work I do is through ARDEC, JMC, and PM-MAS. All run mostly by the Army. I’m even learning stuff here. Thank you I will look into these items myself. |
