Hi Dave, I would try to ascertain the voice of the customer which in this case may be nursing, administration, benchmarks and the like. Get a capability analysis of various processes that you get feedback onThen run some lean intiatives to smooth out the process and eliminate waste found. Control may be in the guise of checklists and audits after implementation. It would help if your staff have an ability to tag electronically when done with a project to assess that. Run a before and after graphical summary and if non normal: moods median and x-bar (my favorites because it’s easy to explain and I have a hard time remembering all the lingo :^)). Hope it helps.
