I am looking for a dynamic way to present Six Sigma to our executives and other managers so I thought the best way to create materials and PowerPoint slides was to watch how others do it. Does anyone know of presentation materials or seminars that have a creative and catchy method to convince executives of the benefits of Six Sigma?

I know that the way Six Sigma is presented makes all of the difference so I am looking to attend one or more presentations to learn of a “less statistical”, less time-intensive, and more entertaining way of presenting Six Sigma.

Hello Gary,

You are absolutely correct! Leaders live is a world filled with synthetic ADD and phony/complicated sales pitches. Forcing leaders to sit through boring presentations loaded with statistical jargon is as painful as putting them in a room filled with telemarketers wielding Tasers.

A big part of my job is being the guy that drags in the defibrillator to jumpstart failed/failing LSS deployments. Many folks I support seem to forget that LSS can be both fun and agile.

Long story short…High-energy, real discussion in the framework of “leader speak” and applicable metaphors works! Make it fun and don’t overthink your presentation. There are lots of great speakers out there that would be glad to help you.

Rob:

Do you have a suggested website to visit so that I may explore this option further?

Hello Gary, @gmichal

Jim Bowie ( http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=16209381&locale=en_US&trk=tyah ) is one of the authors for the Executive course and the new LSS Samurai course. I’ll have him provide a link.

@gmichal – Any signficant six sigma implementation is going to entail culture change, and that is gut wrenchingly hard. Rarely is a ppt presentation alone going to do the job. If you can’t go in and expose the exec’s to realities that they should know (but have been kidding themselves that they don’t) in a way that gets them to want to change, then you’ll not have much success. Just my opinion.
