We are developing a 6-sigma project and having some problems to choose the correct process owner. Our project objective is reduce stock orders delivery time, and the process to improve is balance the working load in the warehouse.
Who should be the process owner ?
The warehouse supervisor, the customer liaison supervisor or the traffic supervisor.
Could you give me a correct explanation of what OWNER PROCESS means ?
    Thank you

The process owner is the person who enjoys the gain if the suggested solutions are implemented and the project succeeds. Or the one who is feeling the pain because the situation exists. Now you can choose who the owner is from the above ‘definition’.

If all three fall under RR’s response, pick the one that you feel will be most engaged in the project. A active process owner can be a tremendous help with a project.
