What is the easiest stats program for a non-stats person (business owner) to understand with no knowledge of stats terms:  SPSS Base or Minitab or something else you might suggest?  I understand this is very subjective.
This is for a very basic survey project measuring customer satisfaction.
Thanks

If you are not a professional what is the point in buying expensive software if Microft Excel has everything you might need for your survey?
No matter what software you use you will need basic understanding of the meaning of some terms such as mean, standard deviation, range….
I would advise you to buy a college stat text book to learn the basics.

Minitab is probably the best, they have an excellent technical service. However there are a couple of Excel add-ins you may want to try: SPCXL and DOE Pro.
Both Excel add-ins are used by Air Academy Associates to teach Six Sigma Courses, and I found them quite useful and easy to use you may download a free trial either at their web site airacad.com. You may want to contact them.
Good Luck

I agree with Issa – you can buy a basic Stats book that uses Excel to perform all basic operations.  Some books even include Excel add-ins.
Good luck

Air Academy’s Excel add-ins are not the only easy-to-use tools available. Other popular add-ins include:
Engine Room by MoreSteam
Excel Green Belt Toolkit by SBTI
QI Macros by Jay Arthur
SigmaXL by SigmaXL (see ad to the right)
XLStat by Addinsoft
Analyse-It by Analyse-It
CHART Runner by PQ Systems
RSD Associates
Green Belt XL by Quality America
I would be interested to know which of the above mentioned tools (including  SPC XL by Air Academy) are considered to be “best in class”.
Disclosure: I represent one of the above mentioned tools.
