    Job Description: Leading flexible packaging and label manufacturer on Long Island is seeking to add a Continuous Improvement Manager to their senior management team. Primary Responsibilities include: Review and improve current SOPs and create and implement new SOPs as needed. Train all employees in the Continuous Improvement process buy in. Ensure on-time and on-spec deliveries of all raw materials to help maximize production efficiencies and minimize potential downtime. Work with Management Team, Lead Pressmen and Operators to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal defects in all areas of production. Initiate and execute a maintenance schedule for all printing, finishing and packaging equipment. Track any supply chain issues and calculate waste and/or lost time due to material defects. Provide ongoing support to all print production teams; troubleshoot issues with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Ensure accuracy of all products in the finishing process. Work with and report to Senior Management with appropriate and innovative ideas and suggestions to help improve overall quality; suggestions to include recommendations for capital investments as needed. Qualifications include: Minimum 5- 7 years Continuous Improvement/QA Management experience in flexographic printing & converting operations. Certified in Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma Practices and/or ISO required. Strong technical knowledge of flexographic printing and converting operations. Very good communication skills are required; verbal, written and PC. Experience working with vendors. Good team building skills. Comfortable and visual on the manufacturing floor. Great opportunity with a company in growth mode. Position reports to senior level management. Starting salary range $75,000 - $85,000 + bonus potential, benefits, and relocation package.
