Description
Reporting to the Site Director and being a part of the site management team, the CI Manager provides leadership to cross-functional areas related to process improvement and will improve productivity and quality in the manufacturing area. You will partner with all the departments on site – Production, Quality and Maintenance to guide sustainable improvements in our manufacturing process.
You will:
Promote the development of a common vision and by identifying gaps in processes and training programs in North American Operational or Quality Systems, you also will have the responsibility to make recommendations associated with personnel performance and development
- Improve CI/Lean Every Day
Partner with site leadership, regional and global operations excellence to determine improvement potential. Use non-conformance as a starting point for defining process improvement. Embrace and promote the Continuous Improvement culture.
- Project Management
Provide leadership for the project delivery of the continuous improvement program to promote productivity and quality improvements. Manage periodic updates to the partners. Maintain the resource plan and clear accountability of the project team members
- Change Management
Support the Site Director to set the change agenda. Work with other departmental managers to address the mindsets and behavior changes required in their departments to sustain the change • Capability Realization - Partner with regional Operational Excellence teams to identify capability gaps. Partner with the Operational Excellence teams to build necessary capability on site.
You have:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or other related field.
- Experience in Quality Assurance, process engineering or product optimization
- Lean/Six Sigma or Black Belt Certification
- 10 years of experience in flavor or related industries with 3+ years supervisory/manager experience.
- Knowledge of ISO/FSSC Standards and data management skills
