Improve business process performance and deliver results associated with customer satisfaction, shareholder value and employee satisfaction. Deliver performance improvements with continuous improvement best practices. Successfully manage key business initiatives and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Continuous Improvement function and assigned key initiatives, using continuous improvement best practices
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement managers and technical writers in support of key business improvements
  • Utilizes lean principles and systems thinking to identify complex interrelated processes that contribute to the success and failures of an organization
  • Facilitates complex accelerated improvement workshops for value stream analysis, standard work, improved throughput, quality improvement, cost reduction, workplace organization and other objectives
  • Partners with leadership team to identify best countermeasures and combined solutions to address root causes
  • Provides expert advice and leadership in implementing action plans and development of sustainment/control plans for solutions
  • Define and evolve the corporate continuous improvement strategy to best support the business
  • Act as an internal consultant to the business by identifying, prioritizing and leading improvement projects within and across functions
  • Responsible for implementing transformational strategies to respond to internal and external drivers, as well as challenging existing practices, and partnering with stakeholders to identify innovative ways of achieving strategic KPI's and goals.
  • Developing systems and execute strategies to implement a continuous improvement program and culture that delivers substantive productivity and/or profitability gains year over year.
  • Apply analytical techniques and Quality methodologies to identify projects that would benefit from continuous improvement support and best practices
  • Manage, train and develop Continuous Improvement team members
  • Provide oversight to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Be a change agent and utilize strategic planning and change management skills to implement and sustain change efforts within the continuous improvement knowledge space
  • Advocate for and partner with IT to implement digitized processes and metrics to support improved project management and completion
  • Author, maintain and communicate continuous improvement guidelines
  • For all efforts, identify, understand and maintain focus on customer requirements to ensure satisfactory outcomes are achieved

Qualifications:

  • College Degree (BA/BS)
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams in a corporate environment
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Lean Certification
  • 5+ years of experience as a Black Belt / Lean Subject Matter Expert
  • Preferred: MBA or other post-graduate education
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Operations / Logistics / Airline Industry
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Statistical Analysis or Management Consulting
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)

Special demands :

  • Travel 10-20% of time may be required
  • Ability to travel as activities require, both domestically and internationally
  • 24-hour global operations environment
