ROLE CTQs and Skills:

  • Industry experience in both discrete manufacturing and process industries is desired.
  • Must have a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or similar certification.
  • Master Black Belt certification is desired
  • Must have strong knowledge of Six Sigma tools and their basic statistical principles… DOE, SPC, Process Capability, Regression, and Variation Reduction
  • Must have a strong background in Lean tools facilitating Kaizen events, VSM, A3, Standard Work, OEE, TPM, SMED, along with Process Flow and Process Layout,
  • Must be able to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Prior operational leadership experience along with leading Safety and Quality initiatives is desired.
  • Experience with Minitab a plus

Our exclusive billion-dollar client is a global market leader in their industry. They are seeking to further improve their operating performance thru continued leverage of their core Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

 

Position Description and Responsibilities:

This is a key leadership position within our client’s North American leadership team, supporting its improvement initiatives on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery. This position will require an experienced Lean and Six Sigma leader with a strong process industry and discrete manufacturing background. This position will require equal experience in Six Sigma and Lean which will be key to creating value and buy-in as the lead change facilitator for the company.

  • This position will be responsible for managing and facilitating the company’s Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • This position will provide leadership / mentoring / training to all levels and functions of the organization on the use and practice of both Lean and Six Sigma methodology and tools within the company.
  • This position will partner with functional leaders and management staff to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • This position will manage a robust review process for selecting, scoping, and prioritizing both Lean and Six Sigma projects including review of resource utilization across the company’s operations.
  • This position will have responsibility for directing and driving the execution of various Lean and Six Sigma transformation projects targeted towards improving the business’s performance on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
  • This position will help deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement and financial benefit across the company.
  • This position will focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of both Lean and Six Sigma tools methodologies.
  • This position will act as a key driver of change within the company, functional leaders by communicating the company-wide changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow with the business’s Lean and Six Sigma transformation.

 

Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Requirements:

  • BS Engineering Degree from an accredited college/university, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of professional work experience with a minimum of 6+ years of Lean and Six Sigma experience.
