Description
We are searching for a Director of Continuous Improvement to will lead us on our CI journey. We have laid a solid foundation of operational excellence, problem solving, visual management, and 5S. Now, we are taking this to the next level (and beyond)!
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Oversee the continuous improvement program in 21 fulfillment centers in the US and Canada
- Lead a team of CI managers in the field coaching the fulfillment teams
- Develop a structured deployment roadmap for quarterly and annual improvements to our CI cultural maturity index
- Deploy leading edge training, tools, and methodologies to enable the operational teams to expose problems and then be empowered and engaged to solve those problems
- Implement a common operating model within the Radial fulfillment services. Create a structure to implement best practices network-wide
- Coach leaders at all levels of the organization on lean philosophies
- Create sustainable organizational capability for problem solving and process improvement
- Guide hoshin goal deployment
- Engage clients in full value stream map assessments
- Be an advocate for CI within the entire Radial enterprise
Requirements:
- 7+ years of demonstrated Continuous Improvement Leadership leading a team with 3+ years multi-site organization related to supply chain/distribution or manufacturing
- Progressive experience that has led to a minimum of 2+ years Continuous Improvement Driector
- Hands-on experience using wide range of lean/six sigma management tools (value stream mapping, fish bone diagram, pareto diagram, 5S, visual management, Kanban, Standard Work, Hoshin planning/X-matrix)
- Demonstrated results in building a sustained CI culture with resulting improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost
- Ability to engage and motivate people of all levels and backgrounds
- Strong talent developer
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; credible with internal stakeholders and external audiences; comfortable meeting with/presenting to executives and senior management
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master's Degree preferred
- Able to travel up to 50%
