Description
Identify, develop, qualify and implement new processes to support the Company’s technology roadmap and perform process mapping. Conduct feasibility studies of proposed processes and equipment. Define, evaluate, justify and qualify equipment to improve production manufacturing efficiencies/capacity, production yields. Evaluate and define improved manufacturing process metrology and SPC improvements. Qualify and release tools and processes to production. Develop and design rules based on detailed process characterization to ensure design for manufacturability. Sustain key manufacturing process steps. Identify and execute on cost reduction opportunities. Provide engineering support for problem solving.
Required education: Bachelor’s degree* or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related. [*Company will accept 2 years of experience as a Process Development Engineer or Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.]
Required experience: 2 years in the job offered or 2 years of experience as Process Development Engineer or Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer.
Additional minimum requirements: work experience to include at least 2 years of the following:
(1) Developing and implementing Backend Semiconductor manufacturing processes (Thinning, Marking, Singulation, Tape and Reel and Reel systems);
(2) Design and Execution of DOEs including statistical analysis;
(3) Total Quality Management;
(4) Six Sigma training.
