The Institutional Quality & Performance Assurance Division (IQPA-DO) office is dedicated to providing critical, expert, and timely services to ensure operational excellence is achieved and sustained by providing trustworthy and transparent continuous improvement and quality systems in support of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Program Office is part of IQPA-DO; providing tools, methodologies, and support with meeting facilitation, clarification of roles and responsibilities, process flow, and process improvements throughout Los Alamos National Laboratory. LSS specialists may spend much of their time in the field working on a variety of projects for IQPA and the institution.
This position will be filled at the Lean Six Sigma 2 level. The Lean Six Sigma (LSS) 2 specialist is a mid-level position. Lean six sigma specialists are individual contributors trained to become change agents throughout the institution enabling achievement of the Laboratory’s performance goals and mission. Specialists ultimately provide the leadership for change initiative by setting direction, managing risks, and designing breakthrough solutions. The overall goal is to stimulate creative and innovative approaches to process improvements.
