I have some information from an acute care hospital in Ohio. Annual hospital stats are: 56,000 patient days, excluding nursery; 4,300 deliveries; 13,700 admissions; and 180,000 outpatient visits.
The data is somewhat dated but I hope it is helpful.

Thank you for your input. We are going to try calculating average cost of treatment per day. It is amazing at times how data poor we are in such a data rich environment as healthcare.
