FMEA whether for IT or manufacturing is the same…the severity, occurance and detection definition remains the same for IT processes as well.

Before recommendation, I woulde like to know, why u want to take the GB training. There are training institutes in Mumbai, Chennai and Banglore.

Depends on the organization. If you try to see things from their side, why would they invest resources on a GB, if they donot have Six-Sigma in their organization. So you have 2 options :
a). Have a list of organizations in Philadelphia, which have six-sigma program running or implemented.

I will advise you to apply for a Quality related job once you reach Philadelphia. Once you get into the organization, you can take up improvement projects related to your work area, such that you are able to apply what you have learnt in ur training program.
