The information I have found is for “Patient Out to Patient In” and is the following:
National Average- 31.50 minutes
Best Practice- 15 minutes

Looking at this specific measurement “Close to Incision” is actually a surgeon request. The rationale for looking at that timeframe is because it is a better definition of surgeon downtime between cases.

How about not scheduling the appointments so close together. This way the physician has adequate time to explain everything and other patients are not sitting in the waiting room extended periods of time.Another suggestion is define who the customer is– the patient or the doctor, and construct the project and goal so that they reap the benefits.
