I think it’s more a common sense to figure out the difference between the two by going through the relevant statistical charts…

Sorry. it is +6sigma on one side and -6sigma on another side. Hence the name as 6sigma.

No Aparna. You should not remove those data points. These are only data paoints of your present process. You need to improve the process and then do the analysis again and then can see whether there is an improvement.
Normally, these data points will lead you to patents.
