Speaking from the candidate side (I have undertaken LSS certification on my own without a company LSS strategy), nothing motivates more than real, demonstrable career benefits. Having successful candidates promoted, advanced and recognized speaks louder than any short term monetary rewards.
If you build the perception upon the foundation that t…[Read more] -

Thanks. I guess there really are only two options.
1. Pay for it yourself.
2. Get your employeer to pay for it.
I am just leery of investing 2-3k in a program without it manifesting into a marketable job skill. -

The Villanova program is the best one out there. Of course, I work for the organization that makes it possible so I might be a little biased.

Thank you for your suggestion to re-read the thread. It helped confirm that much of the white-noise about Harry has been based on FEELINGS!

That was a WOW! Thanks. However, the loudness is an assumption on your part and your bet is speculation. You really dont have anything to show do you? Have a nice day!

Hi Pavan,
Thanks for your input in this. They are all good suggestions, but it seems like they would only succeed if the inter-related entities are governed by one business. But our work depends on collaboration between similar groups in approximately a dozen different large corporations that have no interaction with us besides requests for…[Read more] -

They may or may not, I’m not sure. But these entities aren’t under our control. They are departments within all the major banks, and as such, get backed up fairly easily, which means that our needs are shuttled to the bottom of the stack. There isn’t any communication between us and them with regards to the efficiency of how we work together.

Does anyone have a sample of a time study that I can review. I am currently looking to time a specific function our employee do and wanted to see if there was something that someone had use. I am timing the documentation function that our employees do on each account. Any information,templates.. would be greatly appreciated.

Products and services are similar in many respects. I agree with you that the FMEA is an excellent tool to help identify and mitigate the risks. As far as a Process FMEA is concerned, I support Stan, a process is a process is a process. The Design FMEA, I think, may be a useful addition to your service process creation process.
