Agree, however, until that plane avails itself for the real thing, the learner can learn all they can possibly can by what ever resources or means possible. That’s it!0March 12, 2007 at 1:36 pm #153139
This is a prime example, where online training would benefit and be useful for someone like Nizar!0March 12, 2007 at 1:17 pm #153126
Either you can’t read, you don’t retain what you read, or both. A real project is part of the in-house certification, meantime the process of learning and training DMAIC goes on without having to stop until a SS project presents itself (not every project in an organization is a SS project). Go back and read and re-read.0January 4, 2007 at 4:32 pm #149942
The problem is that recruiting is forced to move in another direction, which hasn’t been sufficiently prepared for; there is no real current strategy. The IE in me is trying to use a structured approach to developing a new strategy, and LEAN/SS is a big push now, vs jsut brainstorming and reverse eng. If some tools can be interpolated to the cause in an attempt to produce a quality strategy w/out deteriorating thier application, cool. I’ve started drafting a SIPOC, looking at the VSM, flowcharting, etc.
Wanted to know if anyone has utilized LEAN/SS tools on something similar? Otherwise, may be a dead end road I’m paving here…

I will go by what Neal has suggested,
In addition to that it would also be a good idea as to look at
1. footfall provided by respective consultants against what were the numbers required as per JD.
2. you may also like to look upon the % of associates actually getting hiring letters against total no of associates interviewd.
3.Hiring time from first interview/test/screening to employee joining board (not sure weather this would be a good idea from view point of measuring consultants,,,but it would definately be important to HR)
Hope this helps

Your post suggest that you want to know whether a person clearing an exam is any way related to his age , qualification and experience
You have age and experience categorized in buckets and have pass/fail criterion.
You can proceed with the qualification data as you have stated.
Your Y here would be Pass/fail and your Xs are age, experience and qualification.
You can use Chi Square test for each of the Xs and determine if there is any difference between Pass/fail and your various xs.
You null hypothesis for the test would be:
“Proportion of no of people scoring Pass or Fail is independent of the Age buckets classified into”
Hope this helps.

2.Have u categorized age in buckets like 15-20 yrs, 20-25 yrs or you have taken the age in figures as 21, 22.5, 44 etc), same for the experience.
