Charles V. Hagood is the Founder, and current President of Healthcare Performance Partners (HPP), a MedAssets Company, founder of Lean Healthcare Exchange, was the Managing Principal/Co-Founder of The ACCESS Group (TAG), now known as TranSystems, and Co-Founder of TAG Design Services. Co-Author “Lean Led Hospital Design – Creating the Efficient Hospital of the Future”. His firms have received a number of awards including Music City Future 50 Awards, Business Tennessee Magazine’s Fastest Growing Company, Business Nashville Magazine fastest growing company, and Area Chamber Business of the Year.
In healthcare, as founder of HPP, Inc and a Partner in HPPLHW, LLC, Charles has overseen Performance Improvement Engagements, and the introduction and implementation of Lean Healthcare systems in numerous healthcare organizations throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Charles has overseen international consulting assignments and projects for various Fortune 500 companies. In manufacturing, Charles held various positions in the Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer Goods and Consulting industries and in interim management roles. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of military aircraft program positions including V-22 & Titan IV Program Manager. Charles has degrees in IE and Mechanical Technology, and a BBA degree in Operations Management. Charles received his MBA degree from Belmont University, and is a six-sigma black belt. Charles is a speaker throughout the USA and Europe, and most recently China, on the subject of Lean Healthcare and the application of TPS for healthcare industries. Charles is also the Director & founding faculty member of the Lean Healthcare Certificate Program at Belmont University http://www.BULeanCourse.com . In 2003, Charles was awarded the State of Tennessee’s top award for his work in Economic Development by the Tennessee Economic Development Council. In 2008 recognized as Alumnus of the Year by the Belmont University Massey School of Business.
