Do you do any best practice sharing with GE. I used to work with their Industrial Systems business and know that they deal with the Union every 3 years or so (to renogotiate their contracts). I would put money that they’ve run their process through six sigma to ensure no “defects” occur. It’s worth a call over to someone there.

In the financial industry, I once worked on a small, swat team that worked to develop a culture of six sigma within an organization. We started with 5 very well trained facilitator types to show that if done correctly, you don’t need to start with that large of an investment. Hope it helps.

Who owns DaimlerChrysler? I know ford is implementing Six Sigma, especially with their Jaguar division. There was an article a while back about how auto manufacturers were gearing up. I’ll check my archives!
