In regards to the last paragraph…looking at this again, I was wrong the LCL is less than 1 sigma which would yield a higher defect rate. So my calculation of 146 still hold true. Assuming the Z-score I picked up the correct rates on the Z-score table, then I my answer should be correct… ?

I sent this discussion earlier today but cannot find it on the forum… not sure what happened.
Using this partial Z Table, how many units from a month’s production run are expected to not satisfy customer requirements for the following process?
Upper specification limit: 8.4 Lower specification limit: 4.7 Mean of the process: 6.2 St…[Read more]
I was not aware of this. I assumed that the LSSBB exams were prepared by some regulating body similar to CPA exams which I believe is regulated by the AICPA and the respective State CPA society. I do not have an answer to your question regarding from which exam these questions came from. I wanted to practice using past test questions so…[Read more]
As per Prepaway, these are actual questions from the exams so thought that I was safe notwithstanding that they provided the correct answers which I have a doubt.
Any recommendations for another service that provides exam questions?
I thought that I sent this question earlier, but cannot find it in the history file. So here it goes again:
“Following process modifications, the null hypothesis states that no improvement to the process has occurred. If we discover the null hypothesis was rejected when it was false that would be a(n):
a) Type I error

I did research on the Ppk calc. in the forum but did not see anything that would help me with this question. This is a practice exam question.
“What is the Ppk of a process with a spread of 24 units, an average of 68, upper limit of 82 and lower limit of 54.
Test service claims the correct…[Read more]
I was about to post a similar question regarding the Cpk calculation. I was hung up on the meaning of “spread”. It really is not clear in my reading material nor anything on-line except for your comment. Sure enough when I divide the “spread” by 6 to get the std. deviation, then I get the same answer. I am still not clear on the…[Read more]

Thank you for your reply. The testing company insists that their answers are correct. (I sincerely doubt that they checked). I copied the question word for word .. and I doubt that this is a typo on their side.
I will ask further from them.

I am wondering if it is OK to use this forum to verify answers to a few questions on the practice exams. I have a doubt with the purportedly correct answers. If not, I would appreciate if you someone can point me in the right direction. I did write to Prep-away (the on-line practice test company) and waiting their response.
Thanks for your reply.
I did do that…I should have mentioned that in my post. There are several to choose from and I am wondering if there are any recommendations from the forum based on their individual experiences.
Hi Everyone.. I have recently completed my on-line course for LSSBB (Lean Sigma Corp). Before taking the exam, I would like to review prior exam questions (as many as I can find) and then take some practice exams. I am looking for economic recommendations for this. Any suggestions?
