Eric Dickes is the principal and lead consultant of the Dickes Consulting Group, LLC. With over 30 years’ experience resolving quality and productivity issues in manufacturing companies, Eric has developed the reputation for being the “go-to” leader to help others solve the unsolvable.
Eric’s strength lies in his ability to gain a deep understanding of how a process or product is designed to work in theory, and then gather all available evidence about how it is working in actuality as a means to uncover the gaps. Integrating this extensive information into a comprehensive understanding of the situation, he is then able to create targeted solutions that permanently resolve the customer’s issue.
Eric is frequently called upon to lead team training and coaching in structured problem solving because of his unique ability to facilitate powerful discussions that guide the team to profound breakthroughs and ultimately uncover root cause. In his work empowering teams small and large, diverse and multi-disciplinary, Eric has helped his customers realize savings of over $5M to date.
Eric’s career has been in the field of electronics manufacturing specializing in implantable medical devices, diagnostic ultrasound, and instrumentation. He has served in a variety of roles ranging from engineering to senior leadership of manufacturing operations. He is certified both as a Lean Sigma Black Belt and a Program Manager. Eric is an active member of both the IEEE and ASQ professional organizations. He holds two patents in the field of electronics design and has published in the prestigious IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits.
