Can we say that
– An assignable cause leads to variation and this can be assigned or attributed to a source that is generating this cause. Assignable cause disturbs the Normality.
– A common/chance cause can not be attributed to a single source and will not disturb normality but increeases the variation.

my situataion is
need a job for experience and need experience for job
and also i’m personnely intrested in six sigma……thats why i’m planning to get the training of GB or BB.
my problem is as u said practical knowledge is very importent i’m searching for a real project to do while learning six sigma.

I am not that much experienced, but as far as my knowledge is concerned, Any Company under any circumstances/clauses cannot be called as Six Sigma Company. Because No company on earth can define all their business processes. Somewhere or the other you will not be in a position to describe your process. Six Sigma is only for Processes, but not for organizations. If I am wrong please send a mail to [email protected] clarifying why it is so.

Please let me also know about the answer of this question. According to me it can be applied as DMAIIC where the second I stands for innovation and the metrics to measure the baseline may be the no. of projects that has been crossed the deadlines / no. of projects completed before the scheduled date so that we can measure the time loss ( conversion into money ) and time gained before the schedule to calculate the profit of the organisation. Upto my knowledge we can convert any process delays into business profits or losses.

Even you could add customer satisfaction Index w.r.t each product, no. of complaints, customer feedback in time or not, no. of complaints resolved in time, no of complaints got escalated, service Index.
