  • Thanks everyone. I find the whole area of statistics quite difficult to grasp hence my request for very laymans terms. I think I’ll just have to skip this question if it comes up in an exam.

  • Could anyone briefly explain how Normal & Binomial Probability Distributions form the Basis of Control Charts? Just a very brief explanation would suffice.

So I should have multiple SIPOS diagrams, one for each step? That doesn’t make much sense to me, seems to be a huge amount of work.

That makes sense Strayer. Would you have a link to an illustration of this type of SIPOC that shows flows between suppliers and customers?

I guess what’s confusing me is that Marchant Engineering provide us with a service so they are our supplier but we supply them with the parts first so in the SIPOC I have Production Support down as the supplier and Marchant Engineering as the customer. I’m not sure if I’ve got this right.

    Hi all,

I’m new to SIPOC and just need some feedback on the diagram I created. I’m getting a little confused between suppliers and customers. Could anyone please confirm whether I have made the right decisions on who’s a supplier and who’s a customer please.

The SIPOC is being done on a process for AB Automation.

Thanks Andrew, just having a look see now.

  • I’m finding the whole value stream mapping process quite difficult to get my head around. I’m looking for a good tutorial on how to use it. Have looked at a lot of videos on Youtube and did a lot of searching. About the best I found on Youtube is from econoshift.com as his style is quite easy to follow.
