Lieutenant Colonel Robert W. Jackson, II, is Commander, 58th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. He is responsible for providing mission-ready CV-22, MC-130H/P, HC-130P, HH-60G, and UH-1H/N special operations/search and rescue aircraft to train aircrews for worldwide employment. The unit performs the full spectrum of flightline maintenance on those 7 different aircraft via 4 separate aircraft maintenance units. Additionally, he provides government oversight as the functional commander for the maintenance services contracts for L3 and AFS on the HH-60G and UH-1H/N aircraft.
Lieutenant Colonel Jackson received his commission through the United States Air Force Academy in June 1993. He has served tours of duty at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, two tours at Yokota AB, Japan and a joint staff tour at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Sensei and an ASQ-certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
