Potential capability is often called the “entitlement” of your process: it ignores differences between subgroups and represents how the process could perform if the shift and…[Read more]

Dear Aparna
Goodafternoon.
I think you are from India and working in a manufacturing company
Since the limita are not defined by the customer. In this case by historical data you can get the LCL & UCL. Since the need for the study is not known to me but still I suggest that the limits need to be defined by having a very detailed study over the…[Read more] -

I am not sure if there are some companies which could be called as TQM companies or non TQM companies. Possibly it could be companies which are winners in Malcolm Baldrige award or European Quality award winners, we can call as TQM companies. You can go to there sites http://www.quality.nist.gov/index.html or http://www.efqm.org

The only possibility for 100th person to sit on his seat is that passanger 1 sits on seat 1. If he changes his seat this will disturb whole of the sitting plan.
So the probability that passanger 1 sits on seat 1 is 1/100
or 0.01

Hello
I will try to answer you pointwiseSix sigma is a diciplined methodology ,which is carried by following the DMAIC approach
Yes it is a approach by which we can work on 3.4 DPMO.Generally each defect is taken as an oppotunity.
It is a cultural change, things need to be done in different ways.Mind set needs to be changed for getting b…[Read more] -

SixSigma would be great for teaching. You could lay off all the teachers and set up schools in China and India and broadcast classes via the internet to huge auditoriums to kids here in the states. You could get teachers to work for what comes out to be about $2 a day. Tell everyone it’s about continuous improvement, float a couple of bond issu…[Read more]

Dan:
If you are trying to reduce in-process variation (% disagreement) within this group of 23, I’d recommend you use an “Expert Gage R&R”, a slightly different form of “Attribute Gage R&R” suggested above.
Since you’re dealing with attribute (discrete) data, bear in mind that a true Gage R&R is not possible (as that needs data to be variable or…[Read more] -

Dear Vandana,
I should congratulate you for applying hyped 6S as commonsense in daily processes. After the training for BB, even I felt the same. I am applying the same in daily chores. Love to interact with you, may I know your contact details?
