Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer
Shubram, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, began working at leading oil analysis lab TestOil in Strongsville, Ohio in Feb. 2020 as their Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer. At TestOil, he is responsible for constantly improving processes and procedures especially as they relate to Lean. He eliminates waste, tightens the communication loop, and delivers value to customers as efficiently as possible. He also mentors staff, drives continuous improvement efforts, and implements the Lean strategic plan; including organizing Kaizen events and OEE meetings. In his first year at TestOil, the company achieved cost savings that were more than double the previous year. Prior to joining TestOil, Shubram used Lean strategy for a combined of three years at a plastic molding manufacturing company and Non-destructive testing company to develop Value Stream Maps and implement lean operations. He has been a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society since 2012 and has won a research award at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Over his career he has enabled organizations to save more than $250,000 in operational cost by implementing Lean methodologies and techniques.
