Why we consider 1.5 sigma shift during caculating Six Sigma level ?
Is there any physical meaning ?
Any one provide my resources [ web site / books ] regarding sigma shift.

I am sure that I won’t be the only one to suggest this but do a forum search for 1.5 sigma shift! This has been discussed sooo many times that it’s rediculous. Finding a thread on this topic should be easy.
Regarding references, read Quality Engineering Volume 14, Number 3, 2002 pages 479-488. It is a well written article by Davis R. Both titled “Statistical Reason for the 1.5 Sigma Shift”.
