Are you an employee of a steel company and asking us to help you put together a proposal that you can submit to your management in order for you to receive Six Sigma training?
The way you’ve worded the question, though, it sounds like you are trying to propose to provide Six Sigma training. And if that’s the case, how can you think you’re qualified to do that when you have to ask an online forum for help with the proposal?
I/we will be willing to help…just be a little more specific with your request.0August 23, 2006 at 7:18 pm #142227dear hornjm
i want to know just what items should be noted in that proposal?
the most important items for sixsigma training in steel company
thanks
0August 23, 2006 at 7:31 pm #142228HornJM, below is the link to the request for help. It sounds like almasi is asking for a complete listing of subjects that should be included in a proposal for training steel employees in Six Sigma. For fairly obvious reasons almasi didn’t get much of a response.

Are you asking for a training design layout? If so, for what level of training: champion, green belt, black belt? Or are you also asking for a proposal for delivery, costs, logistics etc. I don’t understand what exactly you are looking for.
When we implement Six Sigma the training discussion is typically part of the strategic discussion of the deployment plan with the CEO his/her delegated authority. So if you didn’t get an answer, this has to do with the fact that many professionals simply don’t share all of their hard-earned knowledge in that respect. thanks for ur attention.

Easiest thing to do is identify three in country consulting companies doing Six Sigma and have them come out and give you a proposal. It won’t cost you anything and they can provide everything you need. Of course somebody has to decide whether this is a full company wide deployment or just training, will it include all levels of the company or just be for manufacturing, will the consultants do the followup coaching or will you train and develop your own internal resources. There are way too many variables to adequately educate you on a site like this. If the potential engagement will be valed in excess of $1,000,000USD you should have no trouble getting a response. If you merely want to train a few people, forget any reputable consultant and seek to do your training with an online organization. Or call Jewel, she needs a job.0August 25, 2006 at 3:05 am #142313

If I was putting a proposal together, here is a first pass outline of what I’d include:
I. Why A. Key issues that the Steel Company has B. Current approach to deal with key issues C. What competitors are doing D. Solving the issues and beating the competitors…
II. How – Proposed Deployment Plan A. Management Commitment: 1. Flow down of Strategy–> Key Issues –> Six Sigma projects 2. Expectations for Management a) Q * A = E…the key is Acceptance, and Management Commitment is the key to Acceptance b) Project reviews c) Recognition and Rewards for success in resolving key issues. B. Training Plan 1. Training needs – what roles, how many 2. Training alternatives, comparison of expected effectiveness 3. Cost comparison 4. RecommendationC. Summary:- Alternatives and Decisions to be made- Recommendations0August 26, 2006 at 7:59 am #142370dear eric
