0February 7, 2010 at 12:48 pm #189136I asked Minitab directly a couple years ago and there isn’t a direct way to do it. You have to tile the two different graphs. You can then position them next to each other.
Good luck.0February 7, 2010 at 1:47 pm #189137It takes a bit of work, but marginal plots using the histogram option
can display what you want.0February 7, 2010 at 2:16 pm #189141
MBBinWIParticipant@MBBinWIInclude @MBBinWI in your post and this person will

0February 7, 2010 at 9:19 pm #189145I don’t know and too lazy to try, but the Minitab people troll the forum and if someone say something too stupid they will usually step in and correct.

Ps. It works better if you add “Minitab” in the title/0February 7, 2010 at 9:42 pm #189146Sorry, but you are incorrect. You actually have to do some work, but I can display what the original
poster asked for. It took about four minutes.0February 7, 2010 at 10:36 pm #189149
Bower ChielParticipant@Bower-ChielInclude @Bower-Chiel in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Hi Jason
Create your histogram using the Transpose X and Y option to give a vertical measurement axis. The use the Layout tool (one Row and two Columns) to place the histogram and your control chart side by side in a single chart. Scaling on your measurement axes has to be adjusted to match. It would only make sense to do this if your control chart was one for INDIVIDUAL measurements AND it gave no signals providing evidence of special cause variation.

MBBinWIParticipant@MBBinWIInclude @MBBinWI in your post and this person will
be notified via email. If you are using the Bower Chiel approach, then I would stand by my original post. This is doing 2 different graphs, then pasting them side-by-side. The request is to add a histogram to a control chart. If you have another method to do this direct, please elaborate as it would be helpful.
Got a tool where I’m currently working called Quality Suites which does this directly. Very useful.0February 8, 2010 at 4:49 am #189159

0February 8, 2010 at 10:53 am #189163Jason,Nothing in life is for free. If you really have a need to show both
sets of information on one graph, you can get there with a little
work using what I’ve said. It took me four minutes and I had never
done it before.Yes MBB, there is nothing there called control charts, but I know
how to display the same information and I know the location of the
lines. The histogram is there if I choose the right options. MBB, you may want to read what people have written, you appear
to read what you want to see.0 -
