    Hello,
We have a small company in Italy operating in the personal care market and would like to implement a six sigma project to improve our Order to Cash process. We would like to handle the project on our own, but since we have a lot of data, we need a tool to help us with the statistical analysis. There are so many statistical software that look all alike! Could anyone advise me a good one?
    Thank you.

Minitab is a good tool to analyze the data. Its not expensive and works best in conjuction with Excel which I am sure you must be having.

Don’t get too wrapped up in the tool issue.  Most of what you need to do can probably be done with Excel.  Make sure the software doesn’t get in the way of your understanding the process.
Several have mentioned Minitab, which is probably the most popular package for Six Sigma.  Another very popular package is JMP.  JMP may have a little more credibility among statisticians because it is produced by the SAS Institute, who have been doing statistical software ever since there were computers.  In reality, I doubt the packages are very different.

I you want to do the statistical “heavy lifting” asociated with problem solving, then Minitab and JMP are good choices. If you don’t need all that horsepower, consider one that mounts macros onto Excel, of which there are many. One good one is SigmaXL, and I’m sure that many others exist out there.
