Has Six Sigma been applied to agricultural projects ?

And in particular any projects  regarding managing drought, disease or pests?

    Hi,

I am working for a food company and am beginning to get involved in running Six Sigma projects in the AGRI area.
Currently focus is on production areas but I am sure we will to the “fields” at somepoint.  But no expreience as yet!

Ummm…the pioneering use of DOE was first done in agriculture.  See Fisher, Snedecor, et. al.

A common statistical term, “Treatments”, originated in the agricultural sector (certain crops or fields were “treated” with fertilizers for comparisons to a control).
I work in a potato processing company that has been doing 6-Sigma for 3 years now.
