    Hi my name is Darth.
I look at my computer screen 22 hours a day, and I respond to anyones question. Usually I google the question and then pass that answer off as my own.
I end up looking  at responses to my posts and spend most of my day thinking of responses.
I hope everyone loves my witty smart responses as much as I do. I dont have an undergrad degree in stats, but I know more than more college professors, because 1. I google and 2. I look at the isixsigma “the dictionary”
I like to talk about control charts, DOE and Anovas. Those are my specials.

    Darth(same),
Obviously you know me very well except for the fact that I am allergic to cats and have a dog which has been well publicized on this site. And no, I don’t have a BA in communications. It was an AS in Medical Technology.Cute post although the envy slips through.

    Truth Teller,
You need to change your name you post under because it doesn’t even resemble the truth. Every single one of the people you mentioned are different people. Should you be interested in the truth you can meet all of us on stage at the iSS Live event in Miami.

Well, “Truth”, you certainly don’t know what you are talking about.
I am certainly not Mr. Carnell (I wish!), and know that at least one of the other names you mention is also not Mr. Carnell.  And quite frankly, the other three you mention generally have far too short of posts to be from Mike.
Now, as to you and “unlike bb” let’s see – never posted before but have high level of animosity for several of us who have been here for awhile.  Could you actually be just another alias for . . . you know who you are.  At least be man (or woman) enough to stand behind your posts whatever form they take.  Constantly changing alias’ in an attempt to fool neophites is childish.

Sorry, Mike – not going to be there.  Wish I could, sounds like a good time (and in the Superbowl city during Superbowl week!  I still don’t know how iSS swung that.  And with the Vikes going to the big show too!)

And I should believe your sorry butt because…????? I will be coming to Miami because it should be a great conference but will probably be disappointed when I met you….all of you that is. Except maybe Mike Carnell since he seems genuine. I still believe you are all one person with no life.

    Hey Truth,
I have had the opportunity to be mentored by Darth through a Black Belt training program.  He is real, he is very knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma, and yes he is cocky.  He has a sense of humor that is not appreciated by all, but then so what.
Of course this probably means that I’m not a real person also, so nevermind.

I agree!!!  MBBinWi/Stan/Darth/Mike Carnell are all the same people!! Let the TRUTH be known!
I’ve read postings where Darth carries on entire conversations with himself for days on end. When you start a post under the name “Darth” and then the same people respond to it over and over again i.e MBBinWi/Stan/Darth/Mike Carnell, its pretty obvious you have no life and you carry on weird conversations with yourself.
Stop trying to stroke your ego MBBinWi/Stan/Darth/Mike Carnell.

    Teller,
I appreciate the compliment but at the end of the day what you choose to believe or disbelieve is of little or no consequence in my life.
Interesting comment on no life. You don’t know any of us well enough to know we are different people (and all live in different states) and yet you have decided we have no lives. I don’t understand why you would believe that you can make that decision with so little knowledge although in Darth’s case it may be true to more of a degree than the rest of us.
    Just my opinion.

    Mike,
Here is a fact. I attended last year’s conference in which you/Stan/Darth/HBGB were all nominated for some sort of award. You won the Most Helpful one which is questionable but compared to the others probably deserved by default. Stan won Most Obnoxious, I mean Most Prolific but to no one’s surprise, you “accepted it on his behalf” because he couldn’t be there. No time during the entire conference did I hear anyone referred to as Stan/Darth/HBGB. You are the only one who can actually be Googled with a name and picture. The others along with your new alter ego, MBBinWI, are obviously fakes. I noticed that in this year’s program you, along with Darth/HBGB/Stan are all supposed to appear together on some panel. I wonder what sleight of hand will be used to pull that one off.

Gee, I go away a few days and this whole thread erupts. Truth Teller may be onto something about the multiple posters/personalities all coming from one source, Carnell. Will see if it is true week after next assuming all these guys show up at the conference.Darth(same),
Assuming that any idiot can do a Google search, then you now agree that when we flame someone for NOT doing a search before posting an idiotic question, we are doing the right thing. You with us on that? Secondly, if your reference is to me in particular, please point out where I used myself as a citation when posting something which you feel was merely copied from Google. Finally, as to your definition and criteria for being labeled an expert, does your definition require the person to know all and be all? Or does it also assume that an expert is one that knows how to access knowledge regardless of source? Google, at least here in the US, is open source and thus available to all. Because someone uses that source to answer a post does not, in any way, make them a fraud. Even one as uncreative as you who tries to get some credibility by stealing someone else’s long established posting name can post answers regardless of the source.

Stan/Carnell,As usual, an incoherent and silly response. I plan on being there. Will you be the guy on crutches or in a wheelchair? Will you stand up and proclaim yourself to be Stan or Darth or HbGb or whoever? Will you personally accept your award should you win it? Or will Carnell accept again on your behalf? Oh yeah, the wheelchair thing again. Amazing how you guys continue this charade. By the way, Stevo is the only one of you guys that appears to be genuine. His posting are light, humorous and devoid of sarcasm, insults and substance.

Of course, when I challenged you to pick a post and respond with what you think is a worthy response, you disappeared. And here you are again. I asked you a few simple questions in my previous post which, as to be expected, you didn’t answer. Drop the posting envy and add something to the Forum or you will be officially banished by Mike Carnell and all his alter egos, including this one.

Based on what I have seen of his posts, it would be an insult to postulate that we are the same. I am looking forward to the conference where I am planning to meet all of you. I read that there will be a session where Carnell and his alter egos will be appearing. I didn’t see where Stan will be there but if Mike is there Stan can’t be far behind. So, Stevo, Darth and HBGB beware. I will be at that session. I am disappointed that MBB from Wisconsin is not listed but I figure Carnell isn’t that good a ventriloquist.

Generally, I can’t stand trolls. They make a few inflammatory statements and get everyone riled up. But after 2-3 posts, it’s usually obvious they’re just jerks with little creativity and even less intelligence. But Truth Teller, you’re certainly a better-than-average troll. It’s obvious you don’t even believe your own claim about Carnell being the mastermind of the iSS board, and you’re just trying to get a rise out of the regulars here. Good job – you got that, and some introspection as well. I’ll this has been a pretty interesting thread. But now, the troll who’s trying to get a few goats is complaining there’s no substantial discussion? You can do better than that.

It’s clear that the forum is here as a platform for Stan. A short
    history:
2000 was a dark time for America, crime and economic collapse
spread over the land as war loomed in the distance. Men sought
dilligently for work to support their families, the banks seized their
claws on whatever they could, and in Washington; the President
worked long hours repairing the critical state our fractured country
was in. Yet, Americans managed to hold firm to hope, setting aside
the worries of the day – we found peace of mind and joy at the
movies, on the radio, and on webpages.
Then, a man from Seattle introduced us to a legend. America
would find a renewed hope and strength in their caped icon. The
common man didn’t feel so small and helpless anymore. Mike
Cyger gave the Nation a hero, not from America like Babe Ruth nor
of this world like Tarzan; but, a champion from far beyond the
stars… from the city of Detroit. I will always picture him standing
behind a beam of light, holding the American flag in one hand and
the other on his hip, full of pride and determination
Although having undergone significant revision in recent years, the
basic story of Stan is truly one of America’s finest modern classics.
For 57 years, he’s endured as a symbol of truth and justice, his
adventures gracing every continuous improvement website known
to man. To me, the greatest rendition of the Stan story will always
be from the Reigle and his daughter era. If only every saga could
be written and presented in such a manner.
Stan is not just a hero with extraordinary abilities, far above mortal
men… he cares for us. He radiates decency and integrity, it’s not
just the powers that makes him a great man. He, the All-American
    country boy from the Heartland.
His legacy isn’t just that of a hero, but also a teacher; whose
lessons have helped guide the generation before us and will the
generation after as well. Not too many fictional characters can
solicite such a reaction from so many nor have been bestowed with
so much gratitude. It does seem very much that I speak of Stan as
if he were real, so I want to close by taking this time to give a
heartfelt thanks to the men and women who helped contribute and
carve Stan into such credible dimensions. Thank you Mike Cyger
ever so much. Thank you Stan for the wonderful adventures,
important lessons, and for— “The never ending battle for truth,
justice, and the American way.”Oh wait, maybe that is Superman.

Happy to oblige. The top of the main page says:
“This discussion forum covers the full range of Six Sigma Quality discourse and provides a fascinating look at evolving viewpoints, debate and advice on every subject from performing a 2 sample t-test to leading a Six Sigma deployment.”
Honestly, I believe this forum delivers exactly what’s promised. I took the time to look through the past 7 days of posts, and found 13 discussions that are unquestionably informative, providing robust answers to the original questions. There are several others that are marginally useful, and a few that were just chatty and/or snarky. Straightforward, honest questions almost always get straightforward, honest answers.
Some folks tend to focus on the mean/uninformative posts, because it offends their sensibilities. It’s been pointed out a number of times that Six Sigma requires tough skin, and sometimes that’s taken to an extreme here. I’ll readily agree that some answers may be unnecessarily harsh, but it’s also true that questions with easily found answers and homework problems don’t belong here. Do you really believe that people who can’t formulate a good question or who irrationally defend inaccurate information should have a free pass? Will that help the field?
So to answer your question, this forum brings a great wealth of knowledge and experience to the larger Six Sigma community. The regulars here (you know, Mike Carnell and his multiple personalities) use the slow times to chat, and sometimes get snippy with the unmotivated slackers, but they also share a great deal of information with people who take the time to formulate good, detailed questions. There are many others here who post less frequently, but are nonetheless very generous with their own knowledge. Again, I think this forum works very well.
So now I ask you, how can this forum change for the better? Six Sigma’s all about process improvement, so I believe any suggestions you have will be discussed and evaluated honestly.
Sadly, I won’t be at the event next week. I’m carrying full-time school and work right now, and I have neither the money nor the time to attend. I do look forward to hearing about Mike Carnell’s amazing quick-change costumes that fool everyone (except you) into believing the other personalities exist!

Let me say that I have worked closely with Mike Carnell for over 5 years and have gotten to know him very well. He is an honest and principled man who does not suffer fools or idiots. He is, amongst many other good things, someone who gives freely of his time and energy to assist others. Especially on this forum.
…and NO I do not currently work with or for Mike.I personally have used this site on and off for many years and have always found it valuable. You will always find people complaining and fighting on any forum and that is what makes life colourful and interesting.
