Some one said to me that for doing ANOVA, data must be continuous. In MINITAB the data requried to be numeric only.
Could somebody can expalain for me? What is exact idea?
    Thanks

For Anova data must be Normal. that is the first requirement. If you have the discrete data then u have to see the values the discrete data takes . If I am not wrong if your discrete data can take more than 15 values u can treat it as continious, check for normality and proceed.
Also do HOV test before doing ANOVA, the samples should have equal variance then only ANOVA should be done.

ANOVA is typically used when you have a continuous output and discrete inputs.  Minitab says you have to have numeric values so if you are using a categorical variable then you can just assign a number to each category and it will work.

The means have to be normally distributed, not the individual data values.
