There are a number of companies implementing Six Sigma in Australia.

Kodak has been implementing SS for about 2 years in Australia.

Ford Motor company has something going on.

Heatcraft Australia (formally James N Kirby) are just about to launch.

Honeywell is actively implementing Six Sigma Plus here in Australia. We have a number of Black Belts and Green Belts active in the organisation undertaking projects in both traditional Six Sigma and Green Belt For Growth areas.

Six Sigma is still in its relative infancy in Australia, but most of the larger Australian corporate players, eg. Telstra, ANZ etc. are evaluating the methodology for possible company-wide roll-out.

Many multi-nationals with offices in Australia are implementing locally as part of their world-wide strategy. These include Motorola, Kodak, Citibank, Dell, Ford, Gateway, Sony etc.

There’s a very good Six Sigma conference on at the moment in Melbourne. Called IQPC “Best Practise in Six Sigma”. Many representatives from these companies are giving presentations. Call 02-9223 2600 or visit http://www.iqpc.com.au for details. Conference goes Wed 21 and Thur 22nd Feb.

    Hope this helps…
