I am a Black Belt and also a lean practitioner, and travel to Russia about 4-6 times a year. I would enjoy discussing six sigma and/or lean ideas with anybody in Russia that is involved in this area. Most often, I am in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, and Krasnodar.

Sphynxras (Julie Williams)0March 23, 2005 at 3:13 pm #56610Hi! I would also be very interested to hear anything about Six Sigma/Lean activities from that part of the world. I am originally from Georgia and am occasionally traveling back to former soviet republics including the Baltic states, but I have not heard of any companies implementing or being interested in implementing Six Sigma/Lean thus far.

I’ve found that Six Sigma is interesting, but relatively unknown to Russian businesses. I’ve even been asked to expunge references to Six Sigma from final reports to avoid confusing the FSU client with “buzz words”

As I know, like one example, such company like Elcoteq is using Six Sigma very well. Elcoteq has plant in St.Petersburg.
