I am planning to appear for the ASQ India GB certification. I am an experienced professional in Quality and have participated in 4-5 GB projects as a team member and 1 GB project as a Project Lead.
My query here is that should I go for some formal training in GB so as to clear the exam? Or, can you suggest some books which can be beneficial for me to clear the exam? Basically, I am looking for a guidance to get the certification from ASQ.
Many Thanks,

Don StrayerGuest@StraydogInclude @Straydog in your post and this person will

0October 17, 2014 at 7:15 pm #197470Having just successfully completed the ASQ SSBB two weeks ago, I’d suggest the Quality Council of Indiana material. I think almost everybody goes with them and there’s a good reason. It isn’t the best st way to learn it but what you need is a reference you can access quickly and a bunch of practice problems to get into shape and assess where you need more focus. I have a friend who liked the ASQ book for reading/learning and the CQI for testing.
If you do the stuff for a living, the exams are pretty straight forward; if you don’t, I’m not sure what a successful strategy would be.

I’d suggest first taking the ~1/2 length practice exam on the ASQ webpage. If you can complete it pretty successfully within the appropriate amount of time, you’re on the right track.
March should give you time to strengthen any areas of the Body of Knowledge you’re not as certain on, December may be pushing it depending on your knowledge/experience.

Apparently there isn’t a way to edit previous posts.

Kathryn McIverParticipant@kathryndmciverInclude @kathryndmciver in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Hello,
The Quality Council of Indiana materials are by far the best materials available; however, the ASQ Green Belt exam is written to: The Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook (<a href=”http://www.amazon.com/Certified-Sigma-Green-Belt-Handbook/dp/087389698X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416239477&sr=8-1&keywords=asq+green+belt+exam+prep). You will see quite a bit of duplication between the QCI and the CSSGB Handbook, but if there is a question in dispute, CSSGB is the reference guide of choice. Hope this helps and good luck on your exam!
