Since then, Senators McConnell (republican) and Torricelli (democrat) said they will co-sponsor an study to imporve the election process. Since they are not quality improvement professionals, I’m not sure what they will come up with. Here is what the American Society for Quality (ASQ) had to say about this issue in their mailings to ASQ members this week.
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION & QUALITY PROCESSES
The leadership of ASQ hopes to focus the nation’s attention on fixing a broken elections process through the application of quality methodologies. Read ASQ’s statement on quality issues related to the recent presidential election at

The ideas behind the statement came from Howard Schussler, Chair of ASQ’s Government Division, and from ASQ President Greg Watson.Read what they have to say about it at the above link.
